THE BATTLE LINE FOR AUGUST ELECTIONS DRAWN WHAT IS YOUR STAND??

 




General elections in Kenya are held after every five years.


Kenyans go to the ballot to elect leaders of their choice to represent them both in the national and county goverments.

Every Kenyan citizen has freedom to exercise their political right as stated under article 38 of the Kenyan constitution of 2010.


Once you are 18 years you are eligible to register and enjoy the privilege of being a voter to choose your own leader.Therefore no one is supposed to force you to vote for any candidate not of your choice and like as we all know leadership is taking the right actions.

During the recent voters registration the Kenya electoral commission was aiming at registering 6 million new voters. But to our surprise the voter registration turn out was very poor hence the targeted number was not reached as only a few voters were registered. This turn out leads to our big question,Why would Kenyans especially the youth decide to look down upon their political right of voting? Who do we point a finger on due to the poor voter registration turn out?

Let's forget these questions now, do you ask yourself why do you vote and why do we always complain of bad leadership in the national and county goverments!?

Kenyans have a tendency of complaining of bad leaders while the majority who complain are the same voters who fail to participate in the voting act saying that they will not waste time voting for people to give them jobs while they themselves are jobless.

The Kenyan constitution chapter 4 part 2 article 38(2) states Every citizen has right to free,fair and regular elections based on universal suffrage and free expression of the will of the elector.


I urge the Kenyan youth to develop a positive habit of voting and also do some vetting of the leaders so that we can do away with the bad leaders who are drawing back our country's economy.

Remember only you the registered voter will make good leaders by participating in the August 9th elections and God will answer us by giving us the right understanding of good leaders since leadership comes from God.
